    The department of Mathematics was established in the academic year 2002 – 2003 with a B.sc. in Mathematics. This department offers this course under self financing stream. The department strives to create an atmosphere of learning to enable the students to develop sound cognitive and problem solving skills. The goal is to promote perseverance to achieve strong numerical maturity geared to meet the career prospects. The efforts of this department to undertake by the faculties are to train the students in various Quantitative tools and techniques in applied Mathematics to enhance their knowledge. Tutorial sessions are conducted for Quantitative papers and extra lectures are delivered for complex topics. Students are encouraged and supported by the faculty to participate in various intercollegiate competitions

• We are also giving special training for competitive examination like, TNPSC, Banks, SSC and other service commission examination.
• The department has produced many dedicated faculty members in various govt. departments’ private institution.
• The course curriculum is revised frequently by the university whenever needed so as to include the latest development in the field.
• Computer awareness program are arranged for students.
• We also provide some special care like sports, NSS and other extra Curricular activities to improve student’s stamina.
• Industrial visit is also arranged for our students to get awareness about the industrial expertise.
